NFP Financial (formerly Thorbahn) provides health and financial benefit services. They are a very client-focused firm, and consequently, very employee-focused. Helicon worked with the Thorbahn team to create an environment unique to their employee groups, and responsive to their working style developed and improved over the years. Since the shell space was long – extending the full width of the existing building– “dividers” of office blocks broke up the floor plan, organizing and supporting clusters of service teams. Each had an identifiable “canopy” – an entrance off the main circulation corridor. This gave the sense of an organized and efficient arrangement that afforded privacy while maintaining a sense of openness and connection to other departments.
